Job Summary

 

THIS JOB IS IN LINDEN, NEW JERSEY - NOT  TULSA, OK

 

Responsible for operating and maintaining terminal and product stored on-site using established procedures. Performs tank gauging, sample gathering, testing, and routine maintenance. Oversees product receiving, truck loading, and upkeep of terminal facility.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: No experience required. 6 months – 1 year experience is a plus.

Shift work, weekends and holiday work is required.  Operators must deal with all atmospheric conditions (heat, cold, rain etc.) in the performance of their duties.

1. Dock Operations:
   - Handle cargo hoses and valves.
   - Prepare and review required documentation and plans.
   - Conduct inspections and conferences.
   - Monitor and operate equipment and systems.
   - Communicate and coordinate with various parties.
   - Maintain security and safety protocols.

2. Product Receipts/Loadings:
   - Gauge tanks and record measurements.
   - Handle and test product samples.
   - Verify and communicate with delivery companies.
   - Ensure safe product receipt.

3. Routine Terminal Maintenance:
   - Inspect and repair equipment.
   - Perform general maintenance and clean-up.
   - Troubleshoot and maintain automation equipment.

4. Test & Inspect Equipment:
   - Test alarms and emergency systems.
   - Inspect and log equipment status.
   - File necessary records and logs.

5. Supervise Truck Loading Operations:
   - Train truck drivers.
   - Inspect transport vehicles.

6. Routine Operations:
   - Monitor and manage tank levels.
   - Offload and receive products.
   - Perform routine maintenance and operational tasks.
   - Attend safety meetings and complete training.
   - Follow safety protocols and maintain the facility.
