Job Summary

Responsible for operating and maintaining terminal and product stored on-site using established procedures. Performs tank gauging, sample gathering, testing, and routine maintenance. Oversees product receiving, truck loading, and upkeep of terminal facility.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: No experience required. 6 months – 1 year experience is a plus.
- Must be available to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing 50–75 pounds.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and other outdoor elements.

Job Duties
THIS JOB IS LOCATED IN LINDEN, NEW JERSEY - NOT TULSA, OKLAHOMA
1. Dock Operations
Oversee the safe and efficient transfer of products between vessels and the terminal. Duties include connecting/removing cargo hoses, preparing required documentation, conducting safety conferences, inspecting and aligning piping/valves, monitoring and sampling products, communicating with inspectors, assisting with vessel mooring, operating ship load arms and cranes, and ensuring adherence to safety/security protocols and regulations.
2. Routine Operations
Manage daily terminal activities such as monitoring tank levels, offloading trucks and rail cars, performing meter readings, assisting with product transfers and blending, maintaining facility cleanliness, completing security checks, operating forklifts, conducting required training, performing minor maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all safety and PPE requirements.
3. Routine Terminal Maintenance
Perform regular maintenance and repairs on terminal equipment and grounds, including rack equipment, tank gauging, automation systems, and pumps. Duties also include greasing/oiling, draining tanks, custodial tasks, landscaping, and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
4. Product Receipts/Loadings
Coordinate and execute the receipt and loading of products by gauging tanks, verifying valve positions, sampling and testing products, inspecting for leaks, recording meter readings, communicating with delivery companies, calculating quantities, and ensuring vessels can safely receive products.
5. Test & Inspect Equipment
Conduct regular testing and inspection of safety and operational equipment such as high-level alarms, fire extinguishers, VRU/VCU units, emergency shutdowns, tanks (API 653), firewater pumps, and foam systems. Maintain accurate logs and records of all inspections and tests.
6. Supervise Truck Loading Operations
Oversee truck loading processes, including training drivers on equipment and procedures, and inspecting transport vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
