Job Summary

The incumbent is responsible for developing and driving execution of the department's strategy and direction in alignment with CITGO's Network Supply Chain Model.  Responsible for making sure that the necessary business systems and processes are in place to drive department performance and ensure consistent, effective utilization of those systems (ex. Meeting cadence, KPIs and Dashboards, Leader Standard Work, etc.).  Overall accountability for planning, scheduling, and inventory accounting for all finished goods.  Manages department FTE and temporary staffing levels to achieve department objectives.  Directly manages the Supply Chain Supervisor, Production Planners, and Supply Chain Analyst in the execution of their MRP controller roles.  Coordinates with the portfolio owners in supporting MRP controllers for raw materials and components to ensure adequate materials are on-hand to meet production and customer requirements.   Represents the plant on the PGT Team.  Serves as a leader and mentor to the PAT team and its members.  Ensures execution of an effective inventory management program that ensures accurate cycle counts and physical plant inventories are completed on a routine.  Assists the plant manager in development and management of the annual budget.  Oversees the raw material warehousing team.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree:

  • High School Diploma. Required.
  • Bachelor's Degree. Preferred.

Minimum years of job-related experience required:   

  • 8 years.
  • 15 years if no college degree.     

Specialized knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience required (this will be included on the job posting):

  • Working knowledge of:  ERP system (SAP preferred), cost accounting, financial and production reporting, inventory management, production planning.

  • Preferred:  Formal Accounting, Audit/ISO Training, SAP—FI & MM modules.

 

Job Duties

  1. Direct the overall management of raw materials, packaged components, and finished bulk and packaged products inventories.  Implement processes that maintain accurate product inventory that comply with corporate accounting and auditing procedures.
  2. Manages and oversees the general activities of the Supply Chain Supervisor and other support staff to ensure application of Supply Chain practices, processes, and systems. Provides support and appropriate training to ensure their duties are fulfilled.
  3. .  Accountable for cross-departmental coordination including alignment regarding the production schedules, raising potential risks, resolving conflicts, and participating in network supply chain decisions.
  4. Accountable for general plant administrative functions. Manages general purchasing and accounting functions at plant. Oversees the timely payment of pay on approval invoices and provide support for reconciliation. Assists with the development and management of the overall Plant Budget.
  5. Responsible for maintaining key supply chain and plant metrics and utilizing that data to drive continuous improvement. Supports plant continuous improvement initiatives.
  6. Oversee compliance with inventory management related ISO procedures and routinely participate in ISO audits as part of the plant management team.  Conduct monthly HSE audits to identify potentially hazardous conditions or behaviors.
