Job Summary

Responsible for troubleshooting and performing proactive preventative maintenance on motors, motor controls, switchgears, lighting, grounding, and safety interlocks up to 480V. Responsible for interpreting electrical control schematics and one-line diagrams. Responsible for running new electrical service to equipment as directed by Plant Maintenance Supervisor. Responsible for maintaining, repairing and/or replacing all manufacturing, packaging and transfer equipment(pumps, valves and meters) to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. Responsible for building repair and maintenance including installation of replacement equipment. Assists in construction of new facilities. Responsible for performing a variety of electrical repairs. Complies with all safety regulations and requirements.  Maintains building and grounds. Responsible for testing boiler chemicals and assuring proper operation and recording results. Responsible for maintaining the safe operation of the API separator 24/7. Assists in production and other department as needed. Maximizes efficient use of company assets.                                                                                                                                       

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of a 4-year certified Electrician Apprenticeship program plus 2 years industrial experience as a journeyman level Electrician, OR Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Industrial Electricity plus 4 years of industrial experience as a journeyman level Electrician.
  • Must be available for overtime (including weekends and holidays) as required.
  • Must have the ability to climb ladders/work in high locations.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; work in enclosed spaces such as tanks and vessels; and work safely near large, hot, high-speed machines.
  • Must be able to read, follow and understand schematics, drawings (including ladder logic), and other diagrams.
  • Must successfully complete assessments, background checks, and medical exams.

Job Duties

  • Responsible for preforming a variety of electrical repairs.
  • Responsible for performing a variety of repairs on pumps, meters, transfer lines and packaging equipment to minimize downtime
  • Responsible for assuring proper operation of the API separator 24/7.
  • Responsible for testing and chemical treating of the boiler to assure safe and continuous operation and record results for ISO 9000
  • Responsible for preventive maintenance on pumps, blenders, compressors.
  • Responsible for maintenance and repairs of facility and grounds
  • Responsible for assisting packaging department
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Implements all ISO 9000 procedures to assure that ISO certification is maintained.
  • Cleans facility, work areas
