Job Summary
The Analyzer Specialist shall support routine maintenance activities by designing, implementing, modifying and/or expanding our analyzer assets. This is a technical position responsible for the design, environmental compliance, and optimization of refinery analyzer systems. Incumbents in this position may conduct testing, verification, corrective actions, and commissioning of systems while ensuring they meet the highest safety, environmental and regulatory standards. Incumbents will interface with Operations, Reliability, Maintenance and Engineering departments in order to support their engineering needs. This position is located on-site at the CITGO Refinery in Lemont, Illinois.
This position will be required to be on-call 24-7 during the week and on assigned weekends.
Expected salary range: $153,000 - $187,000

Minimum Qualifications
- Associates Degree plus 10 years of job-related experience required
- Minimum of 5 years GC experience, Applied Automation / Siemens GCs preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of CEMS experience
- Chemistry background preferred with working knowledge of petroleum refinery
- Able to demonstrate high level of mechanical troubleshoting skills
- Valid Driver's License
- Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Eligibility

Eligibility Requirements: The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration. Job Duties
- Communicate and coordinate with operations, environmental and maintenance to establish area priorities as well as plant priorities.
- Provide expert level analyzer support and coordination for the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.
- Design, plan and oversee construction and/or modification of analyzer systems designed to improve the reliability of the infrastructure to carry out chemical processes on a commercial scale.
- Guide the evaluation and recommendation process relating to existing or proposed analyzer equipment selection based on quotations, designs and specifications.
- Develop and implement plans, procedures, standards/guidelines that will continually improve the reliability of refinery analyzer systems. This includes but is not limited to areas such as repair procedures, craft training, equipment selection, vendor and contractor management/selection and recordkeeping.
- Direct actions, including contractor activities, associated with equipment fabrication and construction projects to ensure conformance with plans, schedules, contracts and company standards.
- Communicate, guide and mentor project engineers with related analyzer project systems.
- Participate on incident investigations and root cause failure analysis teams.
