Job Summary

Using business and technical experience; this position provides business process analysis, process design, and consulting services along with systems support and development services for users of CITGO IT/IS 3rd Party applications support team. 

The 3rd Party Information Analyst leads small and medium sized projects as well as provides individual contributions by applying a wide range of consulting and technical skills to support 70+ Windows and Unix based systems for refineries, terminals, pipelines, HSSE, HR and Benefits, Lubricants, Corporate Communications, IT, Marketing, Supply and Logistics and other areas.  Systems include SAP, Enablon Safety & Environmental systems, financial systems such as Nakisa contract and lease accounting, Sage Fixed Assets, Lenel Enterprise for security, EDI systems, Benefits Help Desk system, Legal systems, Pipeline systems and Audit systems to name some examples.

This person interacts directly with every area of the company.

Requires a minimum of 8 years Information Technology experience, with a preference for SQLSERVER, UNIX, Windows Server skills, Enablon, SCCM and other systems that require installation, upgrades, integration and support.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Information Technology related fields and 8 years of experience or High School Diploma and 12 years of experience.

Analytical and problem solving skills

Prefer light Programming skills

Prefer Relational database tools

Prefer Project Leadership skills

Prefer Enablon Knowledge and configuration experience

Prefer SCCM knowledge
 

Job Duties

  • Analysis – Collaborate with process owners to analyze business processes and propose process improvements enabled by information technology.  Participate in value proposition development.
  • Design and development – Based on analysis described in Part 1, develop technical designs and implement software solutions to support business process improvements.  Development may include custom programming using CITGO approved development tools and/or package software configuration, installation, upgrades and integration.
  • Planning – Formulate, communicate and execute project plans, with limited supervision.  Provide input for project and departmental budget development.
  • Team Leadership – Collaborate with project team members.  Plan and direct activities of team members when appropriate.  Prepare and execute oral and written communications.  Act as a project team spokesperson.  Lead small to medium sized projects.
  • System Support – Anticipate and investigate production system problems/questions ascertaining root cause and corrective action needed.  Design, develop, test and implement corrective action.
  • Training – Plan, prepare and deliver appropriate training to end-users.
  • Professional Development – Develop technical skill sets, leadership skills, presentation skills, business area knowledge and independent thinking/decision making abilities on an ongoing basis.  Stay abreast of technology innovation and its applicability to CITGO's business. Gain detailed knowledge of CITGO Business processes in specific areas of responsibility including interaction(s) with other business processes.
