Job Summary
This is an Information Technology Internship position at the CITGO Corporate office in Houston. The IT Intern will be introduced to Data Analytics and Emerging Technologies department. They will become familiar with data analytics and emerging technology tools, processes, and procedures including but not limited to: PowerBI, Power Platform and Python. They will provide assistance to projects related to supporting data analytics. As the intern gains knowledge and familiarity with the systems, support tickets will be assigned as the department sees fit.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or graduate degree program in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other relevant discipline.
- Overall GPA of 3.0 or above (A=4.0) and must provide proof of GPA at time of hire to verify eligibility requirements.
- Experience with Power Platform and Power BI
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional demeanor
- Communicate and interact effectively with all levels in the Corporation
Job Duties
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop data solutions. Design, develop and automate solutions to support business needs.
- Support data-driven initiatives across various departments. Responsibilities include data analysis, report development and work with cloud platforms.
- Provide practical experience in applying data analysis skills under the guidance of Data and Analytics team, continuously learn new techniques, and contribute to the organization's data driven decision making.

As a data analytics intern, presenting findings and insights to stakeholders may be required. This involves presentation skills and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.
