Job Summary
Maintain refinery property & equipment and assure safe & efficient plant operation. Responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and executing routine, extraordinary, and turnaround maintenance activities for CITGO and contract personnel. As a Tank Supervisor in the Area Maintenance department, duties will include supporting budget and scope development for routine and turnaround activities, and ensuring knowledge and compliance of CITGO procedures and policies for hourly maintenance personnel. Ensure company policies & procedures are followed. Perform job audits for Safety, PPE, Permitting, LOTO, Housekeeping, etc. Control & monitor the PVM & Mechanical Integrity work orders in the area of responsibility. Track the contractor headcount daily (Planned vs Actuals) Hold a Safety huddle each week and as required by Management.
Minimum Qualifications
- A college degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management or a related field with 5 years of plant experience
- OR 10 years of maintenance experience (including 5 year’s supervisor experience)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferred Skills
- Working knowledge of SAP and Primavera
- API 653 Certification
- API TES Certification
Job Duties
- Manage Safety – Model a Safety conscious behavior. Ensure all Policies and Procedures are followed. Perform job safety audits weekly. Support the Refinery goals for Zero recordable & Lost Time incidents. Ensure that all safety incidents & near misses are properly reported and documented. Ensure all corrective actions are implemented. Ensure compliance with management of change programs & procedures. Track & report on progress of PSSR, Haztrack, RMC, RCA, and Process Safety Action items.
- Coordinate all Tank Maintenance activities for the following: Electrical Craft, Instrument Craft, Tank Mechanical Contractors in the area of responsibility. Coordinate & Update all Maintenance work with the Area Planner, Operations, Warehouse, Maintenance Shops, Core Maintenance & Supervisor’s daily. Ensure adherence and implementation of all Corporate and CCR Policies and Procedures in the area of responsibility. Develop a working relationship with Maintenance Engineers, Reliability Engineers, etc.
- Lead the Area Maintenance effort in achieving compliance with all Environmental regulations. Ensure compliance with all guidelines for the handling and disposal of all types of waste material.
- Provide the leadership for profit improvement initiatives. Implement best practices. Increase workforce effectiveness & productivity. Support the overall Maintenance Effort in the Refinery with coordination with other Area Maintenance Supervisors concerning resources.
- Provide assistance to the entire Maintenance organization which may include Turnaround Support across the Refinery and assistance in any other areas of the Refinery where requested and needed, for manpower, tools & equipment needed at CCR.
- Monitor and control daily contractor headcount. Approve CosTrack data in a Timely fashion to assist.
- Ensure budget compliance during Routine, Non- Routine, & T/A & Shut down activities, by monitoring & controlling overtime, equipment rental.
- Control & monitor mechanical integrity PVM work orders & assure these work orders are completed in a timely & efficient manner. Ensure compliance of mechanical integrity programs. Lead the Area Maintenance effort to improve mechanical reliability. Solicit input on improvement opportunities.
